EasyRead Training

Information is empowering, but only if you understand it!

Yet making information easy to understand, meaningful and accurate is surprisingly difficult.

We will share techniques of layout and design, the use of pictures and other media. We can tell you what is expected of EasyRead by people with a learning disability, as well as how to meet the Government and European EasyRead guidelines.

This training can be tailored to your needs and is suitable for anyone who wants to make their information more accessible, in particular managers and support staff including those taking Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care, businesses who want to make their documents and leaflets more accessible and social care workers or commissioners.

Now we can show you how to produce information in more accessible formats as well. This includes how to get to the heart of an issue and distil a subject to its bare bones.

EasyRead training is usually run in two parts, a Basic Course in the morning leading into a more Advanced Course in the afternoon. Courses are held quarterly in London, or can be specially arranged at the time and place you need. Please get in touch with us for more information.

Next training date: 21st April 2015 The Space Centre, 94 Judd Street, London
